It is difficult to imagine that a remote village not more than five kilometre across, has so much to offer. Khajuraho is cosmopolitan- young kids speaking foreign languages with ease, rooftop restaurants serving mouth-watering pizzas are only some of them. The spectacular temples (which are also UNESCO world heritage sites), the amazing eateries and the artefact shops make it a top destination in any traveler’s list. There are also adjacent places like Raneh falls and Panna National Park that cannot be missed. It was late December when we took this trip and the weather complemented our stay. For most of us, a trip to Rishikesh would either mean rafting in the Ganges or going on a pilgimrage. However my last visit to Rishikesh was something beyond the two. A break from Delhi post Diwali at a location not far was the intention. Make sure whenever you are planning to go to Rishikesh to spend a lot of time with the river.
